Combat Baseball Academy Code of Conduct

All Parents and Players Please Sign

Rules of Engagement

The Combat Baseball Academy (CBA) is dedicated to fostering a positive and rewarding baseball experience for all players. This contract outlines the expectations for both players and parents to ensure a safe, respectful, and competitive environment.


1. Players and parents will demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times. This includes treating coaches, teammates, umpires, opposing players, and fans with respect, win or lose.


2. Profanity, insults, and other forms of disrespectful language will not be tolerated. Encouragement and positive reinforcement are key to a supportive team environment.


3. Players are expected to maintain a professional appearance during practices and games. This includes wearing proper attire (as designated by CBA) - Proper uniform combination, hat straight, jersey tucked.


4. Players and parents will respect the umpire's decisions. If there are concerns, these should be addressed with the coaching staff in a private and respectful manner after the game. Discussions with umpires regarding calls is the responsibility of the coaching staff. CBA has zero tolerance for parents and players arguing calls with umpires.


5. Players and parents will refrain from arguing with coaches, teammates, or opponents. If there are issues or concerns, communication should be directed to the coaching staff in a private, constructive, and respectful manner.


6. If ejected from a game you will leave the field and/or dugout immediately with no additional dialogue or actions unbecoming of this program. The ejection will be reviewed, and additional suspensions could be added based on the severity of the incident.


Commitment and Participation:

1. Players are expected to attend all practices and games to the best of their ability, and notify coaches in advance of any absences.


2. Players are encouraged to put forth their best effort during practices and games. This includes actively participating in drills, focusing on instruction, and displaying a positive attitude.


3. Parents are expected to be supportive of their child's participation and encourage good sportsmanship.


Additional Expectations:

1. Players and parents will maintain a clean, drug and alcohol-free environment at all CBA tournaments and practices.


2. Parents will remain outside the dugout during the course of games and/or practices unless special consent has been granted by the coaching staff to enter.


3. Parents are expected to be responsible for their children's behavior at all times while in between games and/or practices.


4. Bullying or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.


5. Physical violence towards players, coaches, umpires, or spectators is strictly prohibited.


Consequences of Non-Compliance

The CBA reserves the right to remove a player and/or parent from the program for any behavior that violates this contract. Such behavior may include, but is not limited to, repeated instances of poor sportsmanship, verbal abuse, physical aggression, or failure to adhere to program expectations.
